目前这一技术的使用,还受到一些影响因素的限制。例如肿瘤体积的大小,对结果影响较大。这也意味着研究人员需要开发更加灵敏的液体活检技术。
此外,目前的成本也是投入临床应用的一大障碍,据论文报道,目前Natera完成一个患者的多次监测需要1750美元。尽管价格不菲,但是相较于Guardant的每个样本7000美元的价格还是便宜了非常多。随着测序成本的不断下降,液体活检的成本下降也是必然趋势。它迟早会成为癌症监测的利器。
